Splendid and informative book written by a notable engineer of the 20th century in generally excellent condition with numerous drawings and illustrations. Excellent black cloth boards and spine. 222pp. The book was in my collection for some years until I acquired one in dust jacket for 30 pounds hence the price of 12 pounds. The book has a neat personal inscription on the front free end paper. The book was published by the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1976 and then first published by Cambridge University press in 1980. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
