These are VERY RARE minutes of joint meetings held at the railway clearing house in 1939 on the run up to the second world war. These meetings were held in secrecy These discuss what to do if the country was to go to war and the changes this would cause to all four of the railway companies at the time. This would include the reduction of sleeper services to the increase in provision for newspapers to be moved around the country. Some hand written annotated notes. This is a fascinating insight into the railways on the lead up to World War II. Encased in green leather boards and spine. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
