Description / Information:
In the period before the Meccano Magazine had covers. The first coloured cover appeared in July 1923. These were printed on relatively poor quality paper and as a result, are very difficult to find in complete and undamaged condition. The paper from 1922 was of generally better quality. From issue 30 to and including issue 35, they continued to be 12 pages without covers. January 1923 has some wear on the spine but is generally bright (£25). February has a centre crease with some wear plus some foxing and marks as has March but nonetheless these copies are better than average for the period bearing in mind scarcity. April has folds but is remarkably clean and bright with only the slightest hint of rusting and is therefore £30. May has a name at the top and some marks on the rear cover and some browning and a stain on the outer edge of the front cover but edges are crisp without any significant wear and internally is very good and includes the article on the Meccano Crystal Receiving Set No.2. plus and advert for Receiver No.1 (£25). June is remarkably clean and bright and has impressed address to top right of front cover but no ink or pencil marks. Due to its remarkable condition, this issue is £30. All have some creases but are generally in good complete condition. Please contact us with details of particular issues you require. We also have a significant number in the period 1920 - 1981. Prices varying according to condition and scarcity. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs. We have split our books into 70 + categories.
