Each vol is 237 pages. Part 1 is 1838 -1913 and the second 1903 - 1948. Publication dates are 1972 and 1973 respectively and are thought to be first editions. Both books are in superb condition and have an excellent provenance as they come from the private collection of Paul Edwards and bear his bookplate. The books themselves are virtually as new and are clean and bright throughout. The dust wrappers are lovely and are not price clipped. The title description includes "Including the Brown Vehicles". These are the standard works on the subject and the indices contain lists of a huge number of specific types of vehicles such as Bullion Van, Baggage vans etc. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs and line drawings. A lovely set scarce in this condition.
