Railways Pictorial Vol 1 in Blue publishers cloth and has an excellent provenance as it came from the private library of Paul Edwards. Excellent bright boards and gold lettering on the spine. Some foxing to plain free end papers and pastedowns and top page edges. Internally generally excellent. Index and title page plus192 pages printed on art paper. These issues were subscriber's edition and bear an individual copy number. 561, 114, 114. Covers not bound in. I am not aware of any publisher's copies of vol 1 having covers bound in. The very heavy card used for the early issues maybe the reason. The original magazines cost the staggering sum of 5/- and the publishers binding plus index and title page cost 12/-
