A first edition of 1966. Many high quality black and white photographs, illustrations and excellent fold out diagrams (some approx two feet long) etc. Foldouts and book internally virtually as new - really lovely. This is an important scholarly work covering the period 1925 to 1965 and is numbered volume 2 as it follows Ahrons masterwork (published in 1927 shortly after his death) covering the period 1825 to 1925. No inscriptions and clean end papers. Boards and spine very good condition with clear silver lettering on spine. Overall book rated as excellent. Dust wrapper good with some marks and some chipping to edges and corners. No loss of text. Not price clipped. Contained in a protective jacket. Shows original price of 75/-. 276pp. The jacket is cream with a little darkening mainly to the spine.
