Price reflects condition. POINTS OF INTEREST: One of my favourite railway book. Edited by ransom-Wallis with contributions from Freeman Allen, Le Fleming, RW, David Morgan, J Doherty, C Simpson, O Ell, Nock and Fred Haut. Split into 7 chapters with16 fabulous full page coloured plates. Numerous excellent quality b/w plates. The index of these monochrome plates covers 5 pages each in two columns. There are 111 tables, charts and line drawings within the text. Lovely coloured end papers showing model trains from Triang, Hornby Acho etc. These are replicated on the dust wrapper. Top edge brown with brown cloth boards. Published by Hutchison and dated 1959. A master work. CONDITION: Book virtually as new internally and excellent overall. Neat owner name on verso of front end paper. Boards bright and clean with crisp corners. Coloured plates, end papers and illustrations generally lovely bright clean condition. Page 364has small chip on bottom edge and a small mark on the page butnothing else to report The dust wrapper is NOT price clipped (50 shillings).. Has gloss finish and shows the model trains in colour Slight edge wear and no loss. Overall a lovely copy.
