This is a good quality first edition book, lavishly illustrated by Sydney Jones. The book is in good condition with a small amount of foxing to the endpapers. The spine has slightly faded but the outside of the book is in generally very good condition. Internally it is generally in excellent order. Clean and bright.This is profusely illustrated with lovely evocative Sydney Jones line drawings. There are many views of individual houses and street scenes. In addition there are numerous lovely line drawings showing details of brickwork, tiling, gables, porches and doorways, chimneys, fireplaces and associated furniture, staircases, panelling, ceilings, windows, ironwork, gardens etc. There is a coloured Jones frontis with protective tissue guard in immaculate condition. Blue decorated cloth boards. This is a true little gem of 212 pages plus book list. It is thoroughly to be recommended.
