Description / Information:
Original Hornby showcard used in shops etc in very good bright condition. This was made by printing on paper which was then stuck to stout buff 'Meccano' cardboard and then cut to shape. The card has a stout cardboard support bracket fixed to the back. Very rare in this condition as normally the red colours fade due to use - this is bright. The motor car sets were first introduced in 1932 and did not sell well hence rarity and high prices. The majority of cards were produced in 1933/4/5 in an endeavour to promote the product. This card is in excellent condition and is very bright and clean. There is a tiny amount of creasing to a very small section of the card but is otherwise excellent. the code is MECCANO 538189. See illustration. The rear of the cardboard is clean without drawing pin holes.
