Description / Information:
4 volumes. How the English Became one People Blackie's Junior Histories1947 by Ian Hislop. Decorated end papers normal size print. Well illustrated. Drawings and black and white photographic plates. Decorated soft cloth. The other three are Britain and her Neighbours edited by David Frew and Laurence Hogg. Tales of Long Ago 1949 with a second copy of 1951 both with large type - book two in the series. Plain end papers and decorated soft cloth covers. The fourth is Book Four 1066-1485 Lord and Vassal 1953 normal size print. All three are very well illustrated and include a number of lovely colour plates. The contents of all books are generally excellent subject to a few marks. The soft cloth covers are subject to some wear and marks but are complete and sound (including spines) so overall generally good. All have inoffensive marks of Manor House School. Pages are good, Interesting covers, slightly chipped and knocked. Lord and Vassal has a cloth corner that has come away from the paper slightly. This one has 12 lovely coloured plates.
