Valuable book that needs insuring. Not covered by standard abe postal charges so please contact bookseller before ordering. In excellent condition overall. Number 49 out of 100 copies. Prize plate on f.e.p. Virtually as new internally. Very smart red cloth boards with gold lettering and decoration on the front. There is a very lengthy title page: Izaak Walton and the River Lee being a paper read before the Hertfordshire Nat His Soc 22nd Dec 1881 and Notes on the River Lee below Hertford being a paper read before the Society 19th April 1883 by Richard Benyon Croft Ch of Lee Conservancy to which are added extracts concerning the Lee valley from "Amwell" a poem by John Scott 1776 and A Tale of Two Swannes by W Vallans 1589 reprinted from the third edition with notes. Ware 1907 privately printed. There are 36 pages and the book is internally in virtually as new condition. The outer sides of the free end papers have offset marks from the front and rear pastedowns caused by the glues used. The reverse of both are immaculate. There is a sticker on the front pastedown "100 copies printed this is number 49 of 100" and the prize presentation plate. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
