Outer blue cloth binding with blocked gold work on front board. Good condition. All page edges gold. Plain end papers. This hard binding protects the coloured card covers of the standard paper issue. These are nearly always damaged with the paper copies because of the size of the book and the fragility of the paper spine and vulnerable covers. Being hardbound the paper covers of this edition are superbly preserved. Contents and adverts in excellent condition. Tall folio profusely illustrated w/ multicolour and black and white drawings, pages embellished with decorative borders, genealogical charts and three large original tipped photos of the jubilee parade. Also includes splendid colour plate depicting different types of transport. Some fantastic adverts in the front of the book. Wonderful naval plate and the transport plate showing the ships, railways and carriages. Coloured covers plus twelve full page coloured plates. Binding is tight. .
