Packed weight = 02 kg. Please do not order from abe without contacting us first as this book is not covered by the standard abe postage charge which is for a 1kg parcel. Lovely book - very well illustrated and with bright gold lettering and decoration on the front board. 1892. I think that the red end papers were probably bound in by the collector and expert bookbinder, Tony Estill, when he re-laid the spine. He has made an excellent job of this and the book was from his private collection. I bought a number at the auction following his death and have retained the majority in my own private collection. A first edition dated 1892 in very good to excellent condition overall. Some foxing but otherwise clean. Many illustrations and a number of plates.. Re-laid spine. Some fading to spine and damage to head and foot of spine has been professionally repaired by Tony Estill as part of the rebinding. 463pp. Buying more than one book will save on postage costs.
