A first edition with publishers green cloth and ten excellent colour plates. Often overlooked, this book is primarily about architecture and buildings. The interiors section includes ceilings, fireplaces, firedogs, grates, trivets, staircases and furniture. There is a section textiles and embroidery with colour plates and the first century of English Engraving. Internally very clean with many illustrations.
