Description / Information:
In very good condition overall. With Jim Russel's wonderful private bookplate. He was horticultural consultant at Castle Howard. He co-authored with Wilfred Blunt and Sacheverell Sitwell for two volumes of Old Garden Roses. He was bought up in Sunnigndale Nursery owned by his father and whilst there, he worked with Graham Stewart Thomas who became part time manager. He was responsible for designing numerous major gardens and he died in 1996. In immaculate order internally. Original binding, cleaned and refurbished. Crisp corners. Fine spine.
