Description / Information:
A first edition in very good condition overall. Some foxing, mainly to text pages. Marbled endpapers. A.e.g. I have counted 49 full page plates. The rest were printed on very fine 'rice' type of paper and then applied to the text pages - see photographs. These latter plates are of different sizes. I have counted 35 of these making a total of 84 including the title page picture of the Palace on the Isle of Wight (Osborne House). Refurbished contemporary binding. Slightly worn marbled boards.
