In engineering terms this is one of the great magazines of the turn of the 20th century. An article on floating docks by Sidney Staples (17pp) with fascinating illustrations including one showing a circular ironclad; Carriage and Wagon building on the Midland Railway by Charles Jones (13pp); Electric Power in the machine shop by Mullin; The Japanese battleship Yashima, the fastest ironclad in the world by D'Eymcourt (18pp - very well illustrated); Article on Hydralic cranes by Robert Blayne (20pp - very well illustrated); an article on compound locos in the US by William Cathcart. Some creasing to the bottom corners on pages 260 - 296 but not affecting the text. Piece missing from rear f.e.p. Faded and marked boards and spine with some chipping to top and bottom of spine. 548pp. This book weighs 2.1 kg so please enquire for postage costs.
