Preface dated Feb 1913. 13 superb collotype plates plus two double fold out plates and many illustrations in text. This includes a superb plate of the Tudor garden house at Sutton Place dating from the time of Richard Weston. Internally in excellent condition. An absolute must for any serious garden historian.Top edge gold. 332 pages. 8 page Batsford catalogue bound into rear. Printed on stout high quality paper. The boards are brown cloth with gilt stamped decoration. Light wear - please see photographs. Some foxing on f.e.p. and paste downs - neat owner inscription dated June 3rd 1913 on front free end paper. This book is a heavy book (3kg) - please enquire for postage cost. The price is net.
