The Bianco Library website has 5 pictures of this book including both medium and large images. This description is to be read in conjunction with these photographs. This is a largely complete volume of January to June 1854 with a few exceptions as listed below. As with many of these volumes, there are many fascinating illustrations, some of which can be seen in the photographs including illustrations from the battle at Gallipoli etc. Excellent plan of the Crystal Palace at Sydenham. Generally very clean internally. Pages in excellent order. Fine marbled endpapers. Contemporary bindings - the marbled boards are a little worn.. Original leather spine and corners are in good condition but are worn - please see photographs for more information. An attempt has been made to correlate the numbered pages as follows. There is no index bound in. The book starts at page one with the issue for Jan 7th 1854. It runs to page 44which is the end of issue for Jan 14th. Pages 45 to 60 are missing (they appear never to have been bound in. Pages 61 to 64 of the issue for Jan 21st bound in. Runs to page 240. Then there is the map of the Baltic Sea page247 to 250.It then re-commences at page 257 for the issue of March 18th.Runs through to page 538.Then ther are pages 33 and 34 of the 1851 census bound in. Then the[pages start again at 563 for the issue of June 17th. Concludes with page 610.
