The section on the customs of Kent includes much valuable information regarding gavelkind. Lambarde is also the author of an important early work on Anglo-Saxon law and a manual for justices of the peace. Internally in generally very good condition overall with foxing only to the first few pages. There has been offsetting of the frontis onto the title page. Neat private library sticker on front paste down. Full leather boards in generally very good condition overall. Some light marking. Bright gold edges and red nameplate in v.g. condition.
